Good News in Brief (What does it mean to become a Christian?)

CourtRoomGospelIn the death of Jesus on the Cross, He was not a victim of evil men nearly 2 thousand years ago. Jesus willingly and lovingly gave His life and died on the Cross for our many sins. He died so that we may choose to live abundant holy lives. Christ’s death was His choice and His story does not end in death. Because Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days and in so doing demonstrated His power as God.

You are encouraged and challenged to put your faith in Jesus today and have a real broken heart letting go of all of your sins. The Bible says, He will change your life from the inside. 1 John 1: 9 and 2 Corinthians 5: 17. Reach out in prayer today and seek God’s forgiveness. Pray something like this, if you know that you are sinner with a void in your life,

“Thank you God for loving me and sending your Son, Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for all of my sins. I leave the life of sin, and give them up and invite Jesus to become my personal Lord and Savior right now. Thank you, in Jesus’ name.”

If you have sincerely prayed that prayer, please do the following (you have made the most important decision ever in your life) …

Begin to read the Bible each day. Start with the gospel of John.

Reach out to God in conversational prayer each day.

Find a sound Bible believing Church and attend regularly (come to Solid Rock, if you are in traveling distance). Talk with the pastor about your prayer of faith that you made today.

Let others know about your new found faith in Jesus Christ. Begin to witness.

Where do I go as a new disciple of Christ?
